Manager – Business Development
Based in Calgary, Alberta, the Manager of Business Development will focus on leading the Business Development organization to design and implement market strategies that support the growth objectives of Gurnoor Consulting Inc. (GCI). Working with the executive team, the successful candidate will ultimately be responsible for leading the Business Development team to successfully develop and win a sustainable level of consulting assignments for the group. From a marketing and sales perspective, lead the diversification of the organization nationally across
multiple industrial sectors (Oil and Gas, Mining, Paper, Pharmaceuticals etc.)

Senior Leadership
- Challenge of the status quo with the executive team;
- Align the Business Development Organization with the direction of the company and the individual business units;
- Facilitate and lead the development of the company’s marketing and sales strategies; be accountable for results.
Team Leadership
- Continue to develop GCI’s business development team;
- Create a work environment that supports commitment and energy to achievement, and enable talented employees to grow and
excel; - Develop, implement, and continue to improve Business Development governance requirements, processes, and tools to
support the achievement of objectives.
Market Leadership
- Develop and nurture senior/executive level relationships with all key customers to support the sales process. Drive this behavior through the organization to ensure strong relationships are developed with all key customer decision makers;
- Develop and market GCI’s brand; know the markets we choose to be in. Gather critical market data to support the development of business strategies for current and new markets.
- Win more than our share in the markets we pursue. This individual will be expected to fulfill a critical role in achieving GCI’s
objectives.
