key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain engineering guidelines, procedures and workflows in line with industry best practices. Facilitate the management and development of an in-house engineering software and database through India Office.
- Drive the client strategic agenda on issues beyond immediate projects for mutually beneficial engagements and lasting client relationships
- Develop and nurture senior/executive level relationships with key clients to support the sales process. Drive this behavior through the organization to ensure strong relationships are developed with all key customer decision makers
- Manage and coordinate various sizes and type of construction jobs, for international and domestic clients. Leads and/or contributes towards client and account planning /execution including proposals
- Provide thought leadership on engineering best practices. Mentor the future development engineers.
- Assist in developing and deploying VE tools, deliverables, and best practice
Education & Experience:
- Proven ability to thrive as a member of a management consulting team, work collaboratively with peers in matrix organizational structure to achieve project objectives in an environment characterized by frequent deadlines, complex decisions, competing demands, and client scrutiny.
- Demonstrated ability to hire, develop and manage engineering resources to realize their potential and to make effective use of consulting services to deliver the expected results on a value for money basis.
- Strong knowledge of technical procurement process, including relevant experience reviewing and approving statements of work, evaluating proposals, and overseeing contractor performance vis-à-vis contract deliverables. Past experience certifying progress payments, authorizing field change notices and supporting Supply Chain resources in development of bid evaluation criteria/methodology, contract negotiations, etc. would be an asset.
- Advanced Degree in Engineering and Finance from premier engineering and business schools
